Murphy’ shoulder is ok, has tightness in rotator cuff

Today at the Hospital for Special Surgery in Manhattan, Daniel Murphy underwent an MRI on his shoulder, and the results were negative, the team announced.

Murphy was diagnosed with tightness in his right rotator cuff – he is ok to play.

Murphy was removed from yesterday’s game against the Astros after he felt his right shoulder spasm during an at-bat in the eighth inning.
