Michael Conforto’s pro debut a hit

Mets first round draft pick Michael Conforto played his first pro game on Saturday for the Brooklyn Cyclones.

Conforto, batting fourth as the DH, was 1 for 4 on the day with a single being his first pro hit as the Cyclones won, 8-4, over Williamsport.

Congrats,Conforto on you're first professional hit.From what I've heard I think this kid is going to turn out alright.Hopefully,we see him soon making an impact with that bat in the bigs.

Why is he all the way down in low a. Before the draft many experts and GM's interviewed thought he could start in AA?? At least start him in high A St. Lucie.

Always looking to find something negative.

The kid hasn't played live action in 2 months, so why place him at AA with guys that have been playing without interruption since Spring Training.

BTW most teams assign their later signees to low-A and then to Fall League.
