…thanks to recent activity in Comment’s Section of MetsBlog.com, i fear my blog will soon be known as the place for angry, violent, fringe fans who are only interested in spewing hate and venom…

…so far, a small, but very loud group of fans have essentially hijacked this site’s comment’s section with mean, disrespectful and angry banter…

…the sad thing is that this group, which is made up of only five percent of my overall readership, has a) made positive fans feel unwelcome, thus turning them away, b) their repeatedly racist, offensive and angry language has resulted in my site getting banned by a variety of company firewalls, thus hurting my overall traffic, which i cannot afford for obvious reasons, and c) they have given my site a reputation that is not representative of the overall fan base nor my own personal approach towards baseball, which, by the way, is just a game…

…since i do not want me or my site to be known for this sort of anger; since i do i want the majority of my readership to feel unwelcome; since this is not a public forum, but a private community; and since i cannot afford to risk this site’s traffic - until i can provide a safe and creative location within this community for each style of opinion – certain readers will have their comments held in limbo for review, meaning they may take an hour or so to appear on the site – if they appear at all…

…i apologize for this inconvenience, but, for the sake of the majority and this site’s reputation, i have no choice…
