Carlos Torres 1

Carlos Torres is unavailable again

Mets reliever Carlos Torres has an upper lat issue, which is not considered serious, Terry Collins said before Tuesday’s game (ESPN, May 6).

He was also not available to pitch Monday, Collins said before that day’s game.

Torres, who pitched in 14 of the team’s first 26 games, has pitched just twice in the last week.

He is 2-0 with a 2.55 ERA, while averaging 10.2 strikeouts per 9 innings pitched.

Terry absolutely nuked our already bad bullpen.

TC Stinks.

Alderson Stinks.

The Wilpons Stink.

The Bullpen Stinks.

The Mets in 2014 Stink.

They will Stink in the future as well even when Harvey comes back and the young arms come up because those guys, as good as they are, can't hit.  You can't win if you don't score runs.  Not one person in the lineup strikes fear in the apposing pitcher.  Not even Wright anymore.  Can we please stop signing reject pitchers and hitters from other teams.  GEEZ!!!!

Here we go again...WILL YOU DL HIM?..Mets need arms in the bullpen..this bullpen can not afford to be down a man

Vic Black would be the first guy up, don't kid yourself. If Dice-K re-adjusts to late inning work well, deGrom might get a call too, but it's Black first.

Why is this announced before the game? Doesn't this give Redmond an advantage with possible matchups?

Valverde should be canned, and if Torres goes on the DL, call you 2 out of Vic Black, Joel Carreno and Miguel Socolovich. Really wish we had a better lefty option in triple A and DO NOT say Josh Edgin

Even is he's not that injured, this team cannot afford to be without a pitcher for this long.  DL him, let him get right and replace him with someone healthy.

I hate it when people make themselves unavailable.  It makes establishing a meaningful relationship extremely difficult.

DL, here comes our most reliable relief pitcher to date. Meet Mr. Torres.

@TheJMan  Yeah, that isn't going to happen. Centeno would get the call over Teagarden; at least he's on the 40

@hankypanky  Funny you should mention that.  I have always been able to count on Flowers.  He's hitting 7th tonight for the White Sox.  That's our lucky number.
