Rich Donnelly to Manage Cyclones

According to Adam Rubin of ESPN New York, Rich Donnelly will manage the Cyclones in 2011.

Donnelly had been serving as a minor league coordinator for the Pirates since 2008, and had been the third base coach for the Brewers and the Dodgers from 2003-2007.

He managed in the Texas Rangers organization from 1972-1979, and while he was signed by the Twins in 1967, he never appeared in the major leagues while playing for four years in their minor league system.

Rubin says Wally Backman is expected to be named manager of Double-A Binghamton.
