Major League Baseball has cleared the placement of Oliver Perez on the disabled list, and will not pursue reversing the roster move.

…initially, i assumed this was a formality… but, i’ve since heard from two people who work for MLB who say this is a serious investigation, not a formality, and there is a chance the transaction gets reversed… which would be horrible… hopefully, MLB finds what they need, everything is legit, and life goes on as is…
Jerry Manuel said last weekend that Perez approached the Mets about knee pain last Friday, the day before team needed to clear a roster spot to activate Jon Niese.
He then visited with a team doctor, had an MRI, was diagnosed with tendinitis, put on the disabled list and has since traveled to Florida to begin his rehab.
