Lucas Duda, Ike Davis

Bootless Ike Davis and Lucas Duda throwing

Ike Davis and Lucas Duda threw to each other at Tradition Field on Wednesday morning.

Davis is not wearing the boot he had on earlier this week to stabilize his calf muscle. Davis last played in a Grapefruit League game on March 2. He has just six official at-bats this spring.

Duda is still recovering from a tight hamstring. He took indoor batting practice Monday for the first time in a week. The team hopes he will play in a game by this weekend (Daily News, Mar. 10).

Duda said he believes he can hit soon, but won’t be able to play in the field for another few days (Ackert, March 12).

Trade him or cut him. This has been a circus. We still need a SS and 1B and we're 3 weeks away from opening day.

Hooray! Now let's see who is more prepared to start the year off strong.

This should be good news, yet, I'm not feeling it.

What a joke. I always looked forward to spring training, hope springs eternal, except with the Mets. I can not believe we are still talking about these two clowns as if either of them are anything special. It is sickening.

How long until the medical staff clears both of them for packing their bags and hopping on a bus out of town?

Duda says he won't be able to play the field for another few days...has he ever been able to play the field?

This just shows the stupidly of Alderson and Wilpon of having both Ike and Duda still on the team as of Mar. 12. STUPID!

Memo to Wilpon: Sell the team.

just move Murphy to first and Young to second already. Its bound to happen with these two being injured all the time. Sad cause I want Ike to succeed

Haven't we already learned that Murphy can't play first?  If he was any good there, he'd still be playing there.

@Vic Scarpelli Murphy's offense plays well for a 2nd baseman -not so much at first. I also don't see Young as an everyday player.
