Bobby Parnell visited the Mets clubhouse after Thursday’s loss to the Giants, wearing a neck brace.
Parnell had surgery on a herniated disk in his neck on September 10.
“I know Peyton Manning had it,” Parnell said about the surgery. “He had seven touchdowns, so I was pretty comfortable.”
Parnell said he expects to be ready by spring training.
“Everyone has assured me that I will ready,” Parnell said, while saying goodbye to his teammates. “All the discomfort that I had from the pinched nerve is gone, basically. It’s just soreness from the surgery now. I feel very confident that everything is going to get back to normal.”
