I've never seen any team have so many players hurt and "unavailable" but not on the DL.  It's shocking.  When is Matsuzaka back?

During the past couple of months, I saw an interview with former catcher Jason Kendall and heard an interview on WFAN with a doctor whose name I can't remember. They were both sure that all the elbow problems that these players (mostly pitchers) were having, leading to Tommy John, were due to weight lifting in the workout rooms. IF this is true, why can't the teams control this? Instead, they pay the athletes multi millions and they, in effect, have their season's success jeopardized, leading to a loss of more millions. I believe that these two men have a legit claim. IF I am correct, then it speaks to how dumb Major League teams really are.

I'm not a doctor, but I do give credence to people whom I believe know what they are talking about. IF this is true...really dumb. IF it's true.

a herniated disc in the neck is bad. It is a nagging problem that will not go away easily. This really concerns me long term.

Remember when Parnell first hurt his neck, TC said it was how he slept on his pillow.  Then he needed surgery.  Lets hope his diagnosis of Black is better.

I've been involved with people who were unavailable.  It made for a very unsatisfying relationship.  It's always best to let them go.  You deserve better.

How is it this team seemingly has more neck injuries than any other team? Parnell, Wright, now Black I just don't get it.

They look at this teams record of futility and shake their heads.

Do the mets really have more neck injuries than other teams? Or do you just think they do because you only follow the mets? I mean would you have any idea if some middle reliever in Seattle missed a couple days with a stiff neck?

@Chris Kujawa It comes from jerking their heads around while they stare fastballs in the zone into the catcher's mitt.....

You forgot Captain Kirk. He was out 2 games in LA. Someone reported that 4 or 5 players had stiff or sore necks on that trip alone!

@Chris Kujawa Look, we all admit it's been a bad year, but to say they're a team full of choke artists is just unfair.

They read the comments on this blog attacking their team, causing them to look over their shoulder too much.
