Winter Leagues: Wilmer Flores has cooled off, Mejia inconsistent

Wilmer Flores polaroidOver his last ten games for Los Braves de Margarita in the Venezuelan Winter League, Mets prospect Wilmer Flores has gone just 9-for-43 with a home run and six RBI.

Flores is still hitting .285 with a .353 OBP and .445 SLG, four home runs and 14 RBI with 19 strikeouts in 137 at-bats.

Meanwhile, Jenrry Mejia was roughed up in his last start for Los Tigres del Licey in the Dominican Winter League, allowing six runs and four hits with two walks in only 2/3 of an inning.

Mejia is 1-2 with a 4.21 ERA in seven starts this winter, having allowed 22 hits and 10 walks with 19 strikeouts in 25 2/3 innings.
