Noah Syndergaard had an injured side muscle, slowed in camp

Noah Syndergaard polaroidRHP Noah Syndergaard injured his side muscle early in camp, according to Adam Rubin of ESPN New York.

He is now fine, and is working his way back into cycles in minor league Spring Training.

Syndergaard was acquired with John Buck, Travis d’Arnaud and Wuilmer Becerra in exchange for R.A. Dickey, Josh Thole, and Mike Nickeas in December.

Syndergaard went 8-5 with a 2.60 ERA in 27 games and 19 starts for Single-A Lansing in 2012, while striking out 122 strikeouts in 103 2/3 innings. He is ranked the third best prospect in the Mets system, 29th best overall by MLB.com.
