It’s crazy close. The speculation here is that these are likely to be a more permanent structure for next season and the All-Star Game, which would be pretty sweet. However, from a player’s perspective, it seems really, really close, especially for a catcher going back on a pop up (which, by the way, could impact pitchers, because it means more foul balls and maybe more pitches per at bat).
