I won't be "done" but I totally get being gravely disappointed

Rangers should be looking for 3year deals cuz we will have fee agents taking pay cuts like Rick Nash and will allow the rangers good cap space but they need to keep this team as in tact as they possible can until then to keep there cop runs possible yandle i don't believe is gonna cash is drastically and the rangers can maybe keep him for 4mil since he finally sees what it's like to be on a winning team and takes over Boyles spot. I live stepan but he doesn't deserve 6 mil I'd look to package him with Talbot for Hopkins. That's dreaming tho even tho edmonton needs a leader like him

I don't think Hags is going anywhere. His best buddies Zucc and Brass both are under contract for 4 more years with the Rangers. To keep playing with his buddies on hockey's biggest stage in NY for a legit cup contender, I predict Hags let's the Rangers buy out some of his FA years and gives the Rangers a bit of a hometown discount -- 4 years $13.4M ($3.35M avg).

Hey @adamrotter you believe the Rangers are in cap trouble? first off, this year Sather will get JT Miller and Fast signed for $1M or less as Sather has shown in past he plays hardball with RFA who dont have arbitration rights.

So once they are signed we sign Hagelin and Stepan, It will be tight but I think we could pay these guys and not have any issues. Plus if we can trade a guy like Glass in deal with Talbot it would help even more.

The following year we have Boyle and Yandle contracts coming off for over 7 million which will give us room to sign Kreider and Hayes.

I think Hags is a guy you could give more term to, in hopes he takes a lower cap hit.

3 million for 5 or 6 years. I think he can stay effective for that period of time. And with the expected rise of the cap, that 3 million would be more than fair for both NY and Hags.

We are a team with no real super stars up front, we dont have guys like Crosby, Toews, Kane types we need to pay 10 million plus a year. The Rangers are deep, and thats what has been winning. Hagelin is a very important part giving us depth, and he can cause havoc playing on 3rd line.

@Adam Rabinowitz I agree with your statement, but you are also wrong: Rick Nash (7.8 Million) and Hank (8.5) so we have some guys with large payrolls.

Sorry he is not worth more than 3 million a year. To much for a third liner and penalty killer. Yes he has speed but does not score enough as far as I am concerned

Both good contacts of what i think he's worth. I'd love to sign him on 3.1 and if they have to go to arbitration there's no way he's getting 3.5 in arbitration

I wonder like Zucc if he would take discount to stay long term. Him and Zucc are really close, I would give a guy like Hagelin 5 years at 17 million or so, I wonder if he would take that if we front loaded it a little so he got more money up front.
